Help and FAQ

A collection of how-tos and frequently asked questions about Yorimichi Closet. If you are new, the how-to guide is a good starting point.

About the service

What is Yorimichi Closet?

It is a search and management service for finding VRChat avatar items (outfits, accessories and so on) on BOOTH. Its main purpose is to "narrow down to only the items that fit this avatar". You can also save and publish your favourite sets with the closet feature, or post and share them as outfits.

Is it free?

All the basic features are free. Closets (up to 12 slots), favorites and outfit posts can all be used at no cost. Upgrading to Premium expands closets to up to 60 slots and adds features such as making closets private.

What data is listed here?

VRChat items sold on BOOTH (outfits, accessories, hair and so on) plus the avatars themselves. A crawler visits BOOTH regularly and collects avatar compatibility information automatically.

Can I import my BOOTH purchases in bulk?

Yes. With the "BOOTH Bulk Import" Chrome extension you can register your BOOTH purchase, gift and free-download history to your owned list straight from the browser, and download them together into BOOTH Library Manager. See the BOOTH Bulk Import tool page for installation and usage.
If you use Unity, there is also the "Yorimichi Closet Integration" editor extension (Unity Integration Tool, VCC / ALCOM compatible). In both cases only product IDs are sent, and your owned list stays completely private.

Searching avatars and items

Can I search in English?

English queries are translated to Japanese automatically with the DeepL API before searching, so typing "dress" or "fluffy ears" works. If a translation looks off, try typing in Japanese directly.

How do I filter by avatar name?

Select an avatar from the home page or the "Avatars" page to list only the items that fit it. The item list on an avatar page also has compatibility filters (verified / tool required / adjustment needed).

How do the filters work?

Item search offers the following filters.

  • Category: outfits, accessories, hair and so on
  • On sale: show only items currently discounted
  • Price range: filter by minimum and maximum price
  • MA support: only items compatible with Modular Avatar
  • Quest support: only Quest-compatible items
  • Favorites / owned: narrow down to your favorites or owned items (including items imported through the Unity integration). Can be combined with keywords and other filters.
  • Sort: popularity, newest, discount rate, trending and more
Can I add an item that is not listed?

You can request one from the "Report this item" button on an item page, or "Submit an item" on an avatar page. Items are also added continuously by the crawler.

What do marks like "Verified" and "Tool required" mean?

They show how directly an item can be worn. They are based on the shop's compatibility notes plus fit reports from users who actually tried the item.

  • ✓ Verified: works as-is (drop-in)
  • Tool required: works with tools such as Kisetene or Modular Avatar
  • Adjustment needed: needs a little work such as size or bone adjustment

See "Reading the compatibility marks" in the guide for details.

Favorites and notifications

What can I do with favorites?

Adding a favorite (heart) to items and avatars lets you revisit them any time from My Page. You will also be notified when a favorited item goes on sale.

Where can I see notifications?

While signed in, the bell icon in the header shows your unread count. My Page → "Notifications" lists them all. Besides sale alerts, you will get notifications for likes and comments on your posts, new followers and achievements.

My closet

What is a closet?

It is a feature for saving and managing sets of items worn with an avatar. Each slot holds an "avatar × outfit × accessories" set, and setting it to public lets other users view it.

Is there a limit on closet slots?

The free plan allows up to 12 slots. Upgrading to Premium expands this to up to 60 slots.

How do I make a closet private?

Premium users can toggle each closet between public and private from the closet list on My Page.

Outfits (timeline)

How do I post?

After signing in, use the "Post" button on the Outfits page. Choose a closet, enter an outfit name, image and the items used, then post. Images are uploaded to ImageKit (up to 10 MB).

How do I delete an outfit I posted?

Go to My Page → "My posts" and click the trash icon on the post you want to remove. Deletion cannot be undone, so please be careful.

What is a remix?

It lets you post your own arrangement based on someone else's outfit post. A link to the original post is shown, so inspiration keeps flowing.

My post is hidden

Posts can be hidden temporarily if they are judged to be sensitive content or after a moderator review. If you have no idea why, please contact us.
